Platforms that use live streaming

Many social platforms have joined the trend of live broadcasting.

As we mentioned previously, Instagram and Facebook are some of them, but to make clear the options available to brands, we present them below.

Periscope

After just four months on the market, the app already had more than 10 million monthly active users.

Launched in March 2015, it is the Twitter app that many brands have just begun to realize is the brazil mobile number list opportunity they have to interact directly with their audiences through this medium.

One of its features is that, of course, you will be able to watch a live event but you will also have the possibility to watch it about 24 hours after it ends.

The best way brands found to take advantage of Periscope was to implement it at their most important events, so that their customers would be present in one way or another.

Meerkat
It was characterized by being Periscope's most direct competitor since it had arrived just a little before it.

For iPhone users, it became the most popular app with the Live Streaming feature.

Both Periscope and Meerkat used their links to share them on the social network Twitter.

On the other hand, with the acquisition of Periscope by Twitter, Meerkat lost popularity and is now a social platform dedicated solely to the dissemination of videos.

What hurt Meerkat the most was that Twitter only allowed Periscope links for its live broadcasts.
