Of course, with the introduction of the new Timeline, a number of things have changed. You can view these changes by clicking on the Tour button. This will walk you through the 5 most important changes. I will list them below:

1. Away with that elongated profile picture, welcome cover photo!
The new Timeline does away with the elongated profile photos of 600 pixels, which sometimes even contained entire campaign visuals. The profile photo of your fan page is adjusted to the same size as that of your personal profile, namely a square image of 180 by 180 pixels. In fact, it is now the same as the thumbnail image that was placed next to your messages by default. So there is nothing more to place in the new profile photo than your logo. However, what we lose in space with the profile photo, we get back three times as much with the cover photo.

Facebook timeline Red Bull

As far as I can see, the cover photo has a size of 851 pixels wide by 315 pixels brother cell phone list high. In addition to mood images for the branding of the brand itself - such as in the example of Red Bull below - this cover photo could of course also be used for temporary campaigns. But be careful, Facebook does attach conditions to this. When you upload a cover photo, you will see the following guideline:

“Please note: This space is not for promotions, coupons, or advertisements. Your cover photo may not be primarily text or infringe on the copyright of a third party.”
