Also known as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ( MBTI ), the 16 Personality Test is an assessment tool to help identify personality patterns. It was developed by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs, based on the personality theory of psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung.

Judging (J) and Perceiving (P): describe how a person deals with the external world. Judging people seek structure and prior planning. Perceiving people prefer to keep their options open and are more adaptive.
Furthermore, the 16 personality types formed by the combinations of these letters are distributed into 4 groups, namely: Analysts, Diplomats, Sentinels and Explorers.
